OUT THROUGH THE IN DOOR

TOXIC TOAD: "Making changes always ends badly".

OPTIMISTIC TURTLE: "Dearest Toad, change doesn't have an ending.  The bad parts are just the Universe clearing the path, for the hop of a new horizon".

TOXIC TOAD: "New hops turn into insufferable mudslides, which are completely unnecessary".

Sometimes when we announce making even the tiniest change, someone in our energy field twitches uncomfortably and begins the chortle... "Where is this coming from? What's wrong with the way things are?  I didn't sign up for this..."

It's easier said than done to shake off those trying to protect the status quo, especially if it's one of our beloved.  But at the same time, resistance is a distraction and an energy drainer.  Ultimately, it's a lot easier to change your own mind than to try and change someone else's.  Permission is not required to leave the swamp.  It is worth noting that one's sense of being doesn't have to be tied to dark places and destructive things, despite one's delirious attachment.

Shiny distractions in any form, become most welcoming when the body speaks (or hollers) and it's not what we want to hear.  Resisting the body's cry for help eventually sets a good ol' fashioned burn out into motion.  The toad of denial fuels it by outrunning and numbing out, all sane efforts of intervention.  As the toad tale darkens, the deeper the denial, the deeper the sinkhole.

Eventually swamp on repeat becomes insufferable and in that suffering lies the beauty of surrender and acceptance.  The experience of no longer being able to stand something is a gift.  It's the wake up call of the soul.  Giving Self permission to be inwardly still, creates the roots of dynamic change.

Breathing with awareness (as opposed to snoring in the haze), begins the slow but steady shift into accepting what is.  Meditative breathing clears the path for an inner sanctuary.  Aligning our energy with the breath creates a ripple of change each and every time it's practiced.  Connecting with inner consciousness is the only true way out of any undesirable state.  From the toxic toad of ego to inner consciousness...OUT through the IN door.

TOXIC TOAD: "Sounds like change is accepting one uncomfortable moment after another..."

OPTIMISTIC TURTLE: "Why yes, it is just like that".

TOXIC TOAD: "Just as I thought, change is utterly exhausting, making it completely uneccessary".

OPTIMISTIC TURTLE: "Sigh"
